The Medical Assisting Administrative Exam Preparation Certificate of Completion is a noncredit certificate designed to prepare students to take the general and administrative section of a medical assisting exam such as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Administrative Specialist (CMAS) or the California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA). Courses includes review, study and practice exams covering: medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, human development, professional relations, health care law, health care ethics, information and front office management, financial and insurance claims management, and facilities and operations management. Upon completion, students can apply and upskill for jobs such as administrative medical assistants, medical office secretaries or professional healthcare representatives. May be offered in distance-learning format.
