This course introduces the essential concepts and approaches in web design. Students will learn the essentials of the three fundamental technologies that drive it: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. They wil also learn how to put them into practice by designing a fully functioning site with most of the major web components. Topics include understanding the internet and websites, using HTML to structure the website content, styling content and creating page layout with CSS, creating navigation, linking to other pages, creating basic web forms with JavaScript, creating a responsive site, and uploading and testing the website. Prerequisite: basic computer literacy.
