Job Description

A Rolfer is a practitioner of Rolfing Structural Integration, a form of bodywork aimed at improving posture, relieving chronic pain, and enhancing physical movement by manipulating the body's connective tissue, known as fascia. Rolfing was developed by Dr. Ida Rolf and focuses on aligning the body in relation to gravity through a series of sessions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Body Assessment: Evaluate clients’ body alignment, movement patterns, and posture.
  • Manual Therapy: Use hands-on techniques to manipulate fascia and realign body structure.
  • Treatment Plans: Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' needs, typically over a series of 10 sessions.
  • Client Education: Educate clients on body awareness and self-care techniques to maintain improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work with other healthcare professionals (e.g., physical therapists, chiropractors) for comprehensive care.
  • Documentation: Maintain client records, including assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
