Tuition & Fees*
Costs for the program will depend upon the modality chosen.
- For the on-campus MPA program, tuition and fees are determined by the University. The cost of the on-campus MPA program is based on the number of units taken per semester. As of the 2023-2024 academic year, students taking up to six (6) units, pay $2,745 in tuition/fees per semester. The total estimated cost of the MPA program is $19,300 and approximately $36,000 for non-California residents.
- For the online MPA programs, the tuition is set within the College of Continuing and Professional Education and is charged per unit. The online modality does not distinguish between California residents and non-California residents as tuition rates are the same for both. The cost of the MPA online programs is based on the concentration.
For the 8-week Cal State online MPA program (specialized concentrations), the cost is $600 per unit. This is estimated to be $25,200 for the total cost of the program.
For the 12-week Public Management Online MPA program, tuition is $497 per unit for current students. Starting in Fall 2024, there will be no further courses scheduled in this academic calendar.
