The Associate in Science in Radiologic Technology is a two-year program providing professional training for radiologic technologists. Students will develop skills in effective communication, clinical competency, and problem-solving. Other skills developed through this program include patient care, positioning, operating X-ray equipment, image quality assessment, technical factors, and interacting with the general public, ancillary workers, and physicians. Radiologic Technologists can work in a variety of professional environments such as a hospital, clinic, or private office. The Radiologic Technology program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the California Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch (CDPH-RHB). Program graduation provides eligibility to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) national board examination. Students who successfully complete the program are also eligible for state certification in Diagnostic Radiography.
