This program prepares the long-term care nurse assistant to function at a competent level in the acute care setting. The course builds upon previous-learned CNA skills and is comprised of a lecture and practicum component. Depending on the facility, clinical training may start as early as 7:00 AM, and urine drug screening may be requested.

Current CNA certificate required. Students need to wear navy blue scrubs and solid white shoes at all times and must provide proof of valid TB test and immunizations. Flu shot required between October and April.
