The Certified Public Accounting (CPA) Exam Preparation Certificate of Achievement is uniquely designed for students who have already completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or any other field and are wishing to meet the educational requirements of the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Examination. The coursework required for this certificate was carefully selected to develop, enhance or supplement students’ existing or prior knowledge and proficiency that is required to meet educational requirements to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination. The courses that are required for this certificate include financial and managerial accounting, internal and external reporting, financial statement analysis, accounting information systems, accounting ethics and professional responsibility, taxation of individuals and business entities, and business law. PROGRAM OUTCOMES
UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THIS PROGRAM, STUDENTS SHOULD BE PREPARED TO:
- Demonstrate an understanding of taxation and auditing sufficient to successfully pass the Regulation and Auditing and Attestation portions of the Uniform CPA Examination.
- Exhibit practical skills in accounting, financial statement analysis, and internal and external reporting to successfully pass the Business Environment and Concepts and Financial Accounting and Reporting sections of the Uniform CPA Examination.
